Professor Shu-Kai (Morris) Fan, Dean of the College of Management at National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech), attended the 2026 AACSB Deans Conference, held in Orlando, Florida, from October 19 to 21, 2026. The conference provided a valuable platform for exploring emerging trends in global business education, innovative teaching practices, and strategic leadership, while creating new opportunities for international academic collaboration.
Beyond participating in conference sessions and exchanging insights with global academic leaders, Dean Fan actively engaged with distinguished business school deans to strengthen international partnerships and explore concrete collaborative initiatives.
During the conference, Dean Fan held productive meetings with Professor David Souder, Dean of Michigan State University's Eli Broad College of Business; Professor Surat Teerakapibal, Dean of Thammasat Business School, Thailand; and Professor Sara Denize, Dean of UTS Business School at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia.
A major highlight was the introduction of Taipei Tech's 2027 Summer Immersion Program, which received enthusiastic support from both Michigan State University and Thammasat Business School. The proposed program aims to welcome international students to Taiwan through academic learning, industry engagement, and cultural experiences. Both institutions expressed strong interest in exploring student participation and further collaboration.
Additionally, discussions with UTS Business School focused on curriculum mapping, academic program development, faculty exchanges, and collaborative research. As a significant step forward, Taipei Tech plans to visit UTS in February 2027 to advance these initiatives.
The conference marked an important milestone in transforming international networking into tangible academic partnerships. Through these strategic engagements, Taipei Tech's College of Management continues to strengthen its global visibility, expand international learning opportunities, and reinforce its commitment to academic excellence and internationalization.
