Introduction

The College of Management was planned and approved by the Ministry of Education during the 1998 academic year and formally established in 1999. The college passed ISO-9001 certification in September 2000. Responding to the trend towards integrated manufacturing and commerce, we provide professional management knowledge concerning emerging industries. Our faculties have relied on their outstanding teaching and research skills, plus industry-academic cooperation, to establish the integrated manufacturing and commerce.

To meet the demands of our teaching and research, there are comprehensive instruments and facilities in each department within the college. They can provide students not only the practical trainings but also the academic researches. In order to develop more advanced academic researches, the college cooperates with other research institutes regularly, thrives to engage in technological developments for related significant infrastructures in our country, and heads for first-class academic research institute.

1.	To train the future managers and experts in the development of Taiwan's economy.
2.	To conduct teaching and research on business management and technology management so as to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of Taiwan's industries which, in turn, increase their competitiveness in international market.
3.	To strengthen the international collaborations with management organizations and academic institutions and, thereby, achieve higher research productivity and more effectiveness in management education.
4.	To promote more cooperation among industries, government, and universities through co-op programs to facilitate the policy of industry enhancement as set by the government.

Features

The College offers Ph.D. program in Graduate Institute of Industrial and Business Management and has two research institutions offering Master programs. These are the Graduate Institute of Industrial Engineering and Management, and the Graduate Institute of Commerce Automation and Management. They also provide EMBA programs. The College also offers the undergraduate degrees through its two departments, namely the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, and the Department of Business Management. For the undergraduate programs, Department of Industrial Engineering and Management provides both 2-year and 4-year programs, while Department of Business Management offers 4-year program only. In addition, both two departments also offer two different on-job continuing undergraduate programs: one with school hours at night during the weekdays and the other with school hours over the weekend. There are around 33 full-time faculty members, 500 full-time students, and 800 part-time students in the college. In the future, the College will also offer Master program in Technology Managem ent. In order to provide the students with the training of technology integration, the College also provides inter-department course program in integration of manufacturing and commerce.
