With extensive experience in IELTS instruction and English teacher training at multiple universities, May shared her strategies for achieving high scores in English speaking. She used vivid examples to explain the importance of pronunciation, phonetics, stress, linking, and intonation, emphasizing that “accuracy in pronunciation matters more than you think.” Through live demonstrations, she guided students in applying effective techniques to improve their speaking skills, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere.
The event concluded with an overseas exchange briefing delivered by Ms. Annie Kuan from the Office of International Affairs, introducing global exchange opportunities, application procedures, and available scholarships to support students in expanding their international horizons. By integrating theory, practical experience, and global perspectives, this joint class meeting provided students with a comprehensive and enriching learning experience.
